KUSALA CARPET FACTORY, NEPAL 2016
In 2016 we commenced building a carpet factory to help Earthquake victims in the Sindipalchowk region of Nepal. Seeing the poor state of housing and physical health of the Nepali people up there was a pivotal moment to feel a longing and obligation to help out this beautiful community. The Nepali people are some of the hardest working humans we have ever met. Not just in physical strength but in meditative loving grace and willpower. We were awed at how this group literally unearthed this factory, using sticks, straw and mud over 3 weeks with our help and a very limited budget (under $4500 USD).
We cannot believe how we all worked together without knowing the same language and with limited access to translators. We are now firm believers that having a true intention and working with nature can transcend so many barriers.
